1(a)

A bank of servers receives electrical power of 2.0 MW at a potential difference of 400 V. Calculate the current supplied to the servers.

Calculate the energy transferred to the server bank in 1.0 hour.

1(c)

The useful output of the servers is processed information. Explain why nearly all of the electrical energy supplied to the building eventually has to leave as thermal energy, and why the cooling system does not destroy this energy.
