PHYSICS CONNECTION
Compare a result with evidence, not just an accepted number
Data analysis produces a result and its uncertainty. Evaluation asks whether that result supports the proposed relationship and what limitations remain.
Result ± uncertainty → justified conclusion
Follow the reasoning
- Fit the appropriate relationship to the data.
- Assess scatter, anomalies and uncertainty.
- Compare the result with the prediction and state a qualified conclusion.
