Select an object. Drop it onto the balance, or choose Hang.

Space runs or pauses. W weighs the selected object or beaker. H hangs an object under a meter. X detaches it. T zeros a balance. C chooses Connect; drag a hook onto an object, or click the hook then the object. V selects Move. F focuses selected apparatus. Scroll to zoom; right or middle drag pans. Choose apparatus from the tray. Click the bench to place it, or use arrows to choose a position and Enter to place. Use [ and ] to select apparatus. Tab moves to the controls. Arrow keys move the selected apparatus in Build, or move probes, rulers and meter handles during Run. Shift makes smaller steps. Delete removes selected apparatus in Build. During Run, dragging an object applies a hand force. Escape cancels placement or releases the hand.

A LITTLE HELP GETTING STARTED

A whole bench of possibilities.

  1. Build: choose apparatus, place it and edit its properties. Use the ruler or calipers to measure between two endpoints.
  2. Run: release objects and watch them float or sink. Drag an object to apply a hand force. Drag the upper handle of a connected meter to lower its object.
  3. Measure: read instruments and capture results. Tare a balance after the empty container has settled.
  4. Connect: drag the meter’s lower ring onto an object. Green rings show valid targets. You can also click the hook then the object. Select an object and choose Hang (H) to place it under a meter. The green upper handle moves the meter; Detach (X) releases the object.
  5. Graph: choose any recorded horizontal and vertical channels. Compare saved runs, fit a line or replay motion.
  6. Compare: change Liquid level and Object density above the bench, even during Run. Compare floating loads three equal-size blocks. Close-up enlarges the apparatus; Whole bench shows every part.
  7. Explain: Reveal shows model values. A level opens deeper calculations. Teacher view enlarges the evidence and simplifies the bench.

Select an object or beaker and choose Weigh (W), or drag it onto the highlighted balance pan. It snaps into place and starts measuring. To weigh just liquid, weigh an empty beaker, let it settle, choose Tare (T), then raise Liquid level. Read the balance display or capture the reading below.

Vessels and their supports stay upright. Sealed hollow boxes do not flood. Layers are ideal and nonmixing. Hydraulic loads can be secured to a piston in Build.
